Class Teacher – Suitable for ECT or experienced teacher

Start date: September 2024               Pay Scale: ECT/Main scale  

FTE: 1.0                                             

Contract type: 1 permanent position and 1 two-year fixed term position available

 

Our thriving, successful school is seeking a Class Teacher from September 2024.  The teacher will join our supportive school community and be part of our motivated teaching team.  For the right candidate, we have flexibility within our school as to Key Stage.  Please indicate your preference in your application.  Applicants do not need to be Catholic and we welcome applications from anyone who will support our inclusive Catholic school ethos.

 

We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about children and learning, and enjoys working within a team.  The position will suit someone who has a clear knowledge of how children learn and is committed to inspiring children through their teaching.

Class Teacher Person Specification

EAL Specialist (Teacher – Main Scale. Unqualified teacher or G8 HLTA)

3 days per week (0.6 FTE)  hours could be arranged flexibly for the right candidate.

Permanent contract              Salary dependent on qualifications held.

Our school curriculum intent celebrates academic excellence, diversity and taking-action!  We are an international school and have high aspirations for all our pupils and are looking for an experienced individual who can support individuals/groups of pupils with English as their second language.  Some children may be new to the country, whilst others may need school support to build up their vocabulary and skills in reading and writing – ensuring access to our exciting broad and balanced curriculum.

 

We are looking for someone who holds a qualification in EAL/TESOL/TEFL to join our team, someone with a genuine belief in the achievement of all pupils. This belief in inclusive education is central to our Catholic ethos, where every child is celebrated, protected and loved. Candidates must be able to build a good relationship with children and have the ability to work flexibly and effectively as part of our welcoming staff.

EAL Specialist Job Description and Person Specification
